The Breitling Emergency version contains a radio transmitter for civil aviation use which sown on the 122.6 MHz remoteness frequency and work as a back-up for ELT-type airborne beacons. Under normal conditions—calm seas—the signal can be pointed up at a range of up to 80 nautical miles (155 km) by search aircraft flying at 19,000 feet.
