Prada: History and Fashion

Prada is a company which was formed by Prada Mario and Martino, his brother. The business was male-oriented. One of the founders (Prada Mario) did not think that women had anything to do with any business/operations outside their homes.
However, it was fascinating to see the business accommodating sunglasses for women and being run by the daughter of Mario Prada, by the name Miuccia Prada at latter days, with Mario Prada his son choosing to keep off the business. Mario Prada has been very instrumental in the success of Prada, such as was with the innovation of the Prada suitcases.
The company has been in the fashion industry for long, with famous suitcases brands that were made of walrus skin and carried a very distinct appearance. However, these brands were very heavy and therefore, had problems with application. However, there were some efforts to reduce the size latter on. They moved into using crystal, tortoise shells and wood to manufacture suitcases.
The company, later on moved to making bags out of a waterproof fabric. This was achieved in 1950. The company expanded into producing more lines of fashionable items later, after Miuccia took over management. These items included nylon bags and tote bags.
The company's handbag items were familiar among Hollywood stars in 1980s. The stars and icons were imitated by other women into using these products. Prada was, therefore, able to bounce back in top performance.
One of the survival techniques used by the company appears to be the production of a wide range of items. This could have played a vital role in helping it to serve as many customers. In addition, such an idea is able to help the company sustain the whole business; even one line is suffering serious challenges on demands of its items.
It is worth noting that some companies have appeared into the sunglasses market, only to get out later, because they could not survive the high level of competition. Therefore, having as many lines of fashionable products is important for companies like Prada to shield their singular business lines such as sunglasses in times of high cut-throat Givenchy Handbags replicas competition.
The company has kept introducing new items into the market as time goes, and adding new lines into the original line of its products. For instance, it introduced clothes of the most expensive material of the time in the 1986. These were instrumental to the increased fame of the company. The company later on moved into producing fashionable wears for men. Even today, the company is known for its fashionable sunglasses which are preferred by many.
